BS. Bioengineering - University of California, Berkeley

Lucy is a PhD candidate in Health Sciences and Technology interested in medical devices and patient-centered engineering design. Previously, Lucy recieved a BS in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, with work in point-of-care diagnostics and medical device design. Outside of the TTDD, Lucy is engaged with a variety of on campus efforts focused on building structural changes to recruit and support URM students at MIT. Interested in a career in science and health policy, Lucy believes that good engineering design and good policy design are one in the same task: creative problem solving that focuses on how to best solve the problem at hand within the given constraints of a system. Outside of work, she enjoys elaborate baking endeavors and unnecessarily competitive bar trivia.
