  • Graduate Student

B.S. Mechanical Engineering, MIT

Carly received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 2023 and then soon joined the TTDD lab as a graduate student. For the final year and a half of her undergraduate career she worked as a researcher in the lab on a patient-specific cardiac patch and an MRI compatible cycle ergometer. As a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering she works on multiple benchtop cardiac models involving thermoformed structures, 3D printed parts, and ex vivo tissue. One of her research aims is to create a total artificial heart that can be both patient specific and rapidly manufactured.
