B.Eng Biomedical Engineering, National University of Ireland, Galway

Eve Sheridan received a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) in 2022. Throughout her degree studies, project work and internships, she has developed a keen interest in implantable devices, particularly when they are in relation to the heart. For her undergraduate thesis, she worked in conjunction with Medtronic on the mechanical testing of materials to improve the computational models of TAVI delivery systems. She subsequently took part in a research internship under the supervision of Dr. Eimear Dolan in NUIG. This work involved computational modelling and preliminary design of a device for heart failure patients. Apart from engineering, Eve is a professional Irish dancer and has performed in shows across Europe, the US and Asia. She is absolutely delighted to be joining the TTDD lab as a Research Associate.
